The Walking Dead Season 3 Review (Marble)

Well it's the monday after Easter, and what else could we be talking about, than the Walking Dead. Last night was the season finale and boy was it a "shocker" as the season progresses, but believe it or not this season was disappointing for me, or at least the second half was. (Spoilers ahead)
The first half of the season explains the groups entrance to the prison. They fought their way in and in the process discovered some prisoners of which none of them survived. Along with the prisoners TJ died, Lorry had her baby and died, and sure enough, Rick goes crazy. It was action packed, and progressed just as the Walking Dead should.
Now we get to the second half, where we lost a bit of interest. Rick is going crazy and seeing Lorry, Carl still wants to be with the other leaders like Rick and Daryl, and Andrea conflicts over how this all should end in the battle between Woodberry and the Prison. I won't spoil the finale if you've seen it, but Merle has come back to the prison, but then gets killed fighting as many of the governor's people as possible. Basically all the episodes are dramatic talking and "We're going to war" or "We're raising an army" and yet, when do they fight? When do things go wrong or there is a lot of head to head action between Rick's group and Woodberry? There was one good scene of fighting in one episode at the end, but unfortunately constant talk and emotional conflicts won't keep a large audience.
Over all I love the Walking Dead still, and I cannot wait for October when season 4 begins, I just hope it is better than how season 3 ended. I left out a lot of things in this season, like how Michonne and Andrea are, or how Carl feels later, but if you need to know all the details, watch season 3. For more reviews and ideas, check back.

I give season 3 an 8.3/10
