I'll be honest, I haven't been in gaming forever and that is simply because of my age. I played games ever since I can remember, but I did not have the NES when it released or anything because I wasn't born. That though does make me different. It adds a bit of new perspective to show what I like in video games. It shows what at least one of the younger gaming audiences like in games and even though plenty of gamers are older, I represent at least the slightest of the newer generations of gamers. So the question is what do I think of games?
I simply love the game. I enjoy sitting down and playing Call of Duty, or Halo, or Battlefield, or Dishonored, or even Trials Evolution and playing the game. I have my favorite games or so, and I have my few games that I go to when I'm looking for something to play because I like the play the multiplayer pretty frequently. Also I like to have different varieties. First Person Shooters are great and all, but without being able to sit down and enjoy Dead Space, or Red Dead Redemption, or simply Dead Island where it isn't all guns, I would enjoy games as much because yes there are different environments, guns, etc, I still need different types of games. I enjoy purchasing every kind of game because I know that every game has something fun to it. But yes I like FPS and I buy a few in particular every time, because those are my favorites, but I don't want those games only.
There are great games that easily reach some of my favorite games ever and they are not my favorite type of game. One of my favorite games of all time is Assassins Creed 2, and it has rich characters and environments, and it makes a good game that I love. Then there are games that yes, they are not the most graphically stunning or the best feeling when it comes to controls, but I love them because they are fun. The first Dead Island will be one of my favorite games of all time because I loved sitting down, hopping on Xbox Live, and with a few of my good friends we sat down and played the game and enjoyed it playing through the missions, slaying zombies, freaking out over the game. Dead Island was one of the most glitchy and messed up games I can remember, and it's controls were sluggish, but that did not matter to me and my friends as we got the homerun derby baseball bat and hit a zombie that then flew two blocks and smashed into a building electrocuted and dead because it was funny and a good time. Each game is fun, you just have to find the fun of it and most importantly every game seems to be more fun when you play it with someone. Doesn't matter if it has multiplayer, but you just have to have fun with it and preferably with someone and it makes a great game.
